The fans have spoken, naming Sam Powell-Pepper as their best on ground against Essendon.

Powell-Pepper finished the first half of the season in style, collecting 15 disposals, six tackles and a goal in the Power’s win.

This is the fourth time the big-bodied midfielder/forward has collected the maximum votes, and he now site comfortably at the top of the MG MVP leaderboard.

His ferocity and hunger for the ball was on full display in wet conditions, laying a number of crunching tackles and a memorable bump on Essendon big man Sam Draper.

Runner-up in the fans vote was Connor Rozee, who put on a balanced performance across the stat sheet.

The young gun recorded 24 touches, six marks and seven tackles – topped off with a tidy set shot goal to open Port Adelaide’s goalscoring.

Rounding out the votes this week was Ollie Wines (3rd), Dan Houston (4th) and Aliir Aliir (5th).

Port Adelaide will now enjoy a short break with the mid-season bye before turning their attention to facing Richmond in Round 13.
