KANE Farrell may be set to return to AFL action, while captain Tom Jonas suffered a blow to the chest during Sunday’s game.Ā 

Farrell sustained a fractured cheekbone in Port Adelaide’s Round 6 win over West Coast, with the defender having to undergo surgery in the days following.Ā 

The 24-year-old has recovered well and will be tested this week to determine his eligibility for selection.Ā 

Jonas left the ground during the third quarter after enduring a knock to the chest and was subsequently subbed out of the match with ongoing discomfort.Ā

The backman is expected to be available for selection this Saturday against North Melbourne.Ā 

Midfielder Zak Butters suffered a corky in the final term, but was able to return to the ground for some valuable minutes late in the game.Ā 

Scott Lycett was a late withdrawal from Saturday’s SANFL match after failing to complete a full training session on Friday.Ā 

The ruckman was experiencing lingering lower back pain following an incident the game prior, and will be assessed further this week.Ā 

Mitch Georgiades has undergone a successful surgery to repair his anterior cruciate ligament, while Orazio Fantasia is back running, with his quad strain progressing well.Ā 

Port Adelaide will name its side for Saturday’s Round 9 clash against the Kangaroos at Blundstone Arena on Thursday evening at 5:50pm ACST.Ā
