PORT ADELAIDE winger Xavier Duursma has avoided a suspension after pleading guilty to engaging in rough conduct in the club’s SANFL win over Woodville-West Torrens.

Duursma was cited following the SANFL’s match review for a dangerous tackle on Eagle Zane Williams in the last quarter of the 36-point win at Woodville Oval.

The action was graded as being careless high contact of low impact, but Duursma was able to escape the base sanction of a one-match ban by entering an early plea.

Instead, the 23-year-old will be reprimanded and pay a $125 fine.

It means he will be available for selection at both AFL and SANFL level, having impressed in two SANFL games since returning from several weeks out with a knee injury.

Meanwhile, forward Sam Powell-Pepper can escape with a $2000 fine for a forceful front-on contact charge against Gold Coast's Darcy McPherson on Saturday night, while Sun Charlie Ballard was also fined $3000 for tripping Zak Butters.
