HAMISH HARTLETT has made several changes and will welcome back some experience into his Yartapuulti line-up for Saturday’s SANFL trip to Noarlunga to face South Adelaide.

Quinton Narkle and Trent McKenzie will each return to the side with both missing since the Round 2 loss to West Adelaide at Waikerie with respective foot and quad injuries.

Ivan Soldo has been named in the ruck, in his first game since knee surgery last month. It will be his SANFL debut for Port Adelaide and he won’t be the only club debutant.

Brayden Calvett and Will O’Brien, who were signed from Woodville-West Torrens and Barossa District respectively this week, have been named to play their first games for Yartapuulti, while fellow SANFL contracted player and former North Adelaide product Harry Williams has been included alongside them on the interchange bench for his first club game.

Former Roosters Preston Cockatoo-Collins, who made his league debut against Woodville-West Torrens in Round 3, and Dylan Aldridge also return to the line-up.

Hartlett has however lost first year forwards Tom Anastasopoulos and Lachie Charleson. Anastasopoulos will travel to Hobart as an AFL emergency in reward for his strong start to his time at the club while Charleson suffered a knee injury at training last weekend and will spend at least a month on the sideline.

Josh Byrne, Tyson Brazel, Ky Roberts, Reed Stevens and Will Ferrari go out of the team while teenage father-son prospect Ky Burgoyne has also been omitted after a two-game stint with permission from his parent club West Adelaide and the SANFL.

The AFL game in Tasmania at the same time means AFL emergencies Anastasopoulos and Dante Visentini won’t be available to feature in the SANFL.

Saturday’s game at Flinders University Stadium at Noarlunga is part of the SANFL’s First Nations Round and Port Adelaide will wear a variation of the guernsey designed by 2004 Premiership player Byron Pickett and his cousin Melanie Pickett.

First bounce is at 2:10pm.
