THE first Showdown at the newly developed Adelaide Oval is going to revolutionise the way supporters experience football in this state.

The club has a huge day planned for members and supporters as we return home to a ground where we’ve won 20 SANFL Premierships.

There’s so much going on, we’ve decided it needs to be compiled into one spot.

This is your Ultimate Round 2 Gameday Guide.

Timeline
12.30pm: Membership marquee (Southern Plaza) open for card collection
1pm: Adelaide Oval carpark opens (very limited capacity)
1pm: March from the Mall meets outside Myer Center in Rundle Mall
1.30pm: Adelaide Oval gates open
1.30pm: Activities outside ground commence (Kids Zone, EnergyAustralia photobooth etc)
2pm-2.45pm: Legends Game
2pm: March from the Mall departs Rundle Mall
3.45pm: Club encourages supporters to be seated for pre-game ceremony
4pm: Teams enter ground
4.15pm: Game starts

Tickets
Public tickets for the Showdown have sold out. The only way to secure a seat is with an 11-game reserved seat membership or an Essential Power membership. You can sign up as a member online here or by calling 1300 467 232

Transport
Public transport including trains, trams and buses will be free on gameday for supporters with a membership card or game day ticket.

The Footy Express will again operate in 2014 to Adelaide Oval. For more information on public transport, click here

Parking
There is very limited parking available at Adelaide Oval. The club has, however, partnered with UPark to offer members a season pass at any of UPark’s city locations (Topham Mall, Grote Street or Wyatt Street) for just $110. Click here to take up the offer.

Road closures
- War Memorial Drive West - closed 3 hours before game starts and re-opened 2 hours after the game has finished
- War Memorial Drive (between King William Street and Pedestrian Foot Bridge) - closed 3 hours before the game starts and re-opened 2 hours after the game has finished
- King William Road closed (between North Terrace and War Memorial Drive) - 2 hours after the game has started until an hour and a half after the game has finished
- Victoria Drive (between KWR and Kintore Ave) - closed 2 hours after the game has started until an hour and a half after the game has finished
- Pennington Terrace, closed 2 hours after the game has started until an hour and a half after the game has finished.

March from the Mall
Thousands of Port Adelaide supporters will March from the Mall to Adelaide Oval before each home game – starting in Round 2.

Supporters are asked to meet in Rundle Mall outside the Myer Centre from 1pm where there’ll be activities, entertainment and non-playing players until 2pm when the March will depart for Adelaide Oval.

What’s happening around the ground?
You’ll notice there is a LOT going on outside the ground at Adelaide Oval for our home games in 2014! Round 2 will offer plenty to do for the whole family before the game, including:
- Kids Zone (Eastern Gate) – our new Kids Zone is going to be huge in 2014! We’ve got an inflatable speccy machine where kids can attempt to take mark of the year, a kick and catch area, kicking challenges, free face painting, appearances from Thunda and players, music and giveaways. PLUS, we’ve got a chill-out zone for adults where you can get a free coffee and free five minute massage while the kids play!
- Renault Zone (Southern Plaza) – get your photo taken with the 2004 Premiership Cup, meet Thunda and players, plus there’ll be some great giveaways
- EnergyAustralia Photobooth (Southern Plaza) – get your photo taken, printed and posted on social media in the EnergyAustralia Photobooth
- Foodbank (Northern End plus all gates) – Charity Partner Foodbank will have a stall at the northern gate, plus tin collection at each gate
- Balfours Thundersticks (all gates) – Grab your free pair of Balfours Thundersticks at any gate
- Nova Stage (Southern Plaza) – new partner Nova will have a DJ spinning tunes, player interviews, giveaways, prizes and the chance to meet Nova Boy
- FIVEaa outside broadcast (Southern Plaza) – Club partner FIVEaa will have a live broadcast of their football show from the Southern Plaza, including player interviews

Membership card collection
The membership marquee in the Southern Plaza will be open from 12.30pm for members to collect membership cards if they are yet to receive them.

Members are required to bring photo ID to collect their cards. The membership marquee will also be able to answer any other membership related questions you may have.

Need help finding your seat or entry gate?
We’ll have a team of volunteers dressed in white called Clipsal PowerPoint volunteers stationed inside and outside the ground to help you find your way around.

They can help you find your seat, find the closest toilet or find a spot to get a drink.

Merchandise
The Power Megastore has you covered on gameday with a massive seven outlets at Adelaide Oval.

There’ll be four outlets outside the ground (Southern Plaza, between Riverbank and Eastern stands, outside the Eastern Gate and outside the northern gate) and three outlets inside the ground (Eastern Stand, Western Stand and Riverbank Stand).

Legends game
Club legends including Greg Phillips, David Brown, George Fiacchi, Daren Mead, Rohan Smith, Roby Thurstans and Darryl Wakelin will take to the field along with a number of supporters (who purchased the right to play) in the first football game at the redeveloped Adelaide Oval.

The game will kick off at 2pm and will finish by about 2.45pm. For more details, click here

Pre-game ceremony
The club is encouraging supporter to be in their seats by 3.45pm for the pre-game ceremony, which will begin shortly after. The ceremony will include a welcome to country, national anthem performed by Hugh Sheridan and Geof Motley presenting the game ball.

Post-game function
Join players and officials in the club’s official post-game function in the Magarey Room on Level 3 of the Riverbank Stand.

Live at the Drive concert – You Am I and Spiderbait
The fun doesn’t stop when the footy ends, with Aussie rock legends You Am I and Spiderbait pumping out their classic tunes at Memorial Drive after the game.

Gates open for the show at 6pm, with Spiderbait kicking off proceedings at 8pm.

Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster here - $42 for GA, $32 for supporters with a ticket or membership card. The club encourages supporters to pre-purchase tickets to the show to avoid long queues on the night.
