PORT ADELAIDE is proud to announce a new partnership with the Trainee & Apprentice Placement Service Inc. (TAPS) aligned to the club’s AFLW side.

Underpinning the partnership is the organisations ‘Join Team TAPS’ initiative, a campaign aimed at promoting trainee and apprenticeship pathways in plumbing and roofing to young women.

The partnership will see TAPS have a dedicated digital promotion to encourage registrations of interest to the industry, and acknowledgement as an official club partner on club AFLW collateral.

TAPS are a Group Training Organisation dedicated to connecting individuals and maximising their potential to create a safer, more skilled industry.

With a focus on employment, mentoring, and supporting apprentices by placing them with host employers through flexible work arrangements, the partnership with Port Adelaide will work to promote and showcase the benefits a trainee or apprenticeship can offer to the Power’s young female audience.

"We are excited to continue our support of the Port Adelaide Football Club AFLW side,” Mr. Walsh said.

“The Port Adelaide players are terrific ambassadors for how hard work and dedication can lead to great opportunities for young women.

“Our partnership aims to build further connections with the community, to provide pathways for women to work in the trades and start an exciting career as an apprentice with TAPS."
