IN: W Rioli 15, L Evans 22
OUT: K Farrell 6 (injured), J McEntee 41 (omitted)
Willie Rioli and Logan Evans will return to the Yartapuulti lineup on Saturday, for the first weekend of Sir Doug Nicholls Round.
Rioli will be one of six First Nations players on the field for the Power, with Sam Powell-Pepper, Jason Horne-Francis, Jase Burgoyne, Lachie Jones and Jeremy Finlayson all selected.
Small forward Jed McEntee has been omitted, while Kane Farrell goes out after undergoing knee surgery earlier this week.
Finlayson, Rioli and Evans have all been named on the interchange alongside Christian Moraes and Josh Sinn, with one of the five players to be named as the tactical substitute an hour before the bounce.
The team will proudly wear a guernsey created by past player Gavin Wanganeen, featuring a beautiful hand-painted design inspired by Aboriginal people’s connection to the Milky Way.
The final of the Santos Aboriginal Power Cup will take place on Adelaide Oval from 2pm, with participants performing a moving cultural dance at 3:10pm.
The last time Yartapuulti played the Cats was in the Qualifying Final last year at Adelaide Oval, with Geelong winning by 84 points.
Saturday’s game will begin at 3:45pm Adelaide time, with the match broadcast live on Channel 7, Fox Footy and Kayo.
