Port Adelaide is proud to be part of the South Australian Government’s WE’RE EQUAL initiative.

Designed as a program to identify businesses and organisations dedicated to equality, joining WE’RE EQUAL is an active commitment from the club to a vision that South Australia is an open and inclusive society that embraces and supports difference and diversity.

In addition to workplace policies that ensure the club has a zero tolerance for discrimination or disrespectful behaviour, Port Adelaide has a proud history of delivering education programs with a specific focus on supporting communities in need.

The club’s charity arm, Power Community Limited (PCL), is deeply aligned with the values of the WE’RE EQUAL initiative, delivering evidence-based programs across four streams including; First Nations, Multicultural, Australian Defence Force and the prevention of gendered based violence.

PCL’s programs harness the power of sport, the Port Adelaide Football Club brand, athletes, and positive role models to create opportunities for children, young people and ADF Veterans.

The curriculum’s aligned to each program build skills, resilience, and connections that empower participants to shape their future and contribute to a more just, inclusive, and equitable society.

The alignment between both the club’s workplace policies and community programs, and the WE’RE EQUAL program, provided the perfect platform for Port Adelaide to support the South Australian government’s innovative initiative.
