Port Adelaide duo Mitch Georgiades and Zak Butters have both earned selection in the 2025 All-Australian squad of 44.

It’s the maiden appearance for tall forward Georgiades, who has owned the Power’s forward line in 2025, collecting a career-best 58 goals from 23 games.

The 23-year-old finished fifth in the Coleman Medal race, while also ranking equal-first in the league for marks inside 50 (74), and inside the top 10 for contested grabs (34).

He gathered hauls of three or more goals in as many as 11 games, including bags of seven and five against Melbourne and Carlton respectively.

In just his second year back from a knee reconstruction and in the absence of consistent personnel around him, Georgiades has impressively shouldered the load in a tough year on-field for the club.

It’s a deserving nod for the fan-favourite, whose remarkable work-rate, finishing ability, and his natural marking talent have seen him more than cement his place at AFL level.

Port Adelaide vice-captain Butters has been named in the extended side four times in his seven years in the AFL system. This would be his third All-Australian blazer, should he be selected in the final team.

An incredibly hard worker, Butters often sets the tone for the Power, with his never-give-in attitude and ability to impact games until the final siren sounds.

The 24-year-old brings constant energy and effort, and his playing statistics from 2025 show what he is capable of, with an average of 28 disposals, 12.5 contested possessions, five tackles and five inside-50s per game.

On nine occasions he collected 30+ disposals, including season-highs of 38 touches against West Coast and 35 against Gold Coast.

Butters’ on-field voice, unbridled courage and smart decision-making continue to make the young midfielder stand out from the pack.
