Port Adelaide has signed running defender/wingman Jacob Wehr as an Unrestricted Free Agent.

The Woodville-West Torrens premiership player was taken in the 2020 national draft by the GWS Giants as a mature aged recruit when he was 22.

Making his AFL debut in 2022, Wehr has played 39 games at the top level, including 15 in 2025, where the Giants made it to the first week of finals.

He was awarded the club’s rising star award in 2022 after 10 games at AFL level and six matches in the VFL.

Wehr is a classy left-footer, known for his high work-rate and ability to dispose cleanly of the ball by both hand and foot.

“Jacob will be a great culture fit who will complement our existing list well.”
