Alberton Oval will come alive under lights on Friday, February 13, as Port Adelaide opens the gates to members and supporters for an evening of footy and family fun.

Fans will have the chance to see the AFL playing group in action during the club’s annual internal trial match, as pre-season preparations ramp up ahead of Round 1.

Gates will open from 4pm, with the internal trial scheduled to get underway at 5pm. At the conclusion of the match, the full playing group will be available for a signing session around the boundary.

The western side of the precinct will be transformed into a hub of free activities for all ages as part of the club’s annual Family Day celebrations.

Kids can enjoy inflatables, a petting zoo, a rock-climbing wall and face painting, while adults can relax with lawn games, a DJ, photo stations and a wide range of food and drink options from on-site vendors.

Supporters looking to make a night of it can book a sit-down dinner and enjoy the new menu at the Precinct, with bookings available now for both indoor dining and the outdoor deck.

The Port Store will also be open, showcasing the latest merchandise, while fans can experience what it’s like to run out with the team through the virtual reality activation located just outside the store.

Entry is free and subject to capacity. Fans are reminded that some areas around Alberton Oval will be restricted due to ongoing construction works.

For those unable to attend, fans can catch all the internal trial action via the live stream on the club’s website.
