IN: M Bergman 14, O Wines 16, M Zadow 39
OUT: J Mead 3, W Brodie 23, E Ratugolea 27
Small forward Mitch Zadow will make his AFL debut this Saturday afternoon at the MCG, just 41 days after being added to Port Adelaide’s list.
The East Fremantle product auditioned for a list spot over the summer, with the now 22-year-old earning the chance to play at the top level.
Less than six months ago, Zadow was working as a groundskeeper at Trinity College in Perth, before being invited to train with the Power from November.
Port Adelaide welcomes back experienced reinforcements in the form of Ollie Wines and Miles Bergman, with Wines returning from suspension and a week in the SANFL, while Bergman comes in after suffering an ankle sprain in Round 2.
Ruck Jordon Sweet will take the field for the 50th time in his AFL career, starting his AFL journey with 11 games at the Bulldogs before the move to Alberton ahead of the 2024 season.
Esava Ratugolea comes out of the 23 with a knee injury from last Sunday’s game, while Jackson Mead and Will Brodie have both been omitted.
Brodie is joined by Brandon Zerk-Thatcher and Dante Visentini in the emergencies.
Saturday’s game will begin at 3:40pm Adelaide time, and the match will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and Kayo.
