Sam Powell-Pepper will make his long-awaited return to football this weekend, set to take the field in the SANFL Showdown.

Powell-Pepper's comeback will be 11 months after his second ACL injury, with the powerful forward energised and ready to go after a gruelling two years.

Port Adelaide defender Esava Ratugolea underwent surgery on Sunday following a serious injury during Saturday's game.

Ratugolea ruptured his patella tendon, with the 27-year-old ruled out for the rest of the season.

Ewan Mackinlay will also miss the remainder of the 2026 season after sustaining a high-grade medial ligament strain and lateral tibial plateau fracture. Mackinlay will undergo surgery in the coming days.

Jack Lukosius will be a test this week after coming out of Saturday's game during the second half, with scans on Sunday confirming a ruptured Baker's cyst behind the knee.

After missing the Collingwood game, Kane Farrell will enter a block of groin rehabilitation after managing soreness over the past few weeks, while Miles Bergman will rejoin training this week, as he nears a return to play within the next fortnight.

Port Adelaide will name its team for Showdown LX on Thursday at 5:50pm.
