Teenager Balyn O’Brien will make his AFL debut this weekend as Port Adelaide prepares to host Fremantle at Adelaide Oval.
The athletic defender arrived at Alberton as an SSP signing this past pre-season, impressing coaches with his desperate defensive style and professionalism since slotting into an AFL environment.
An Eyre Peninsula product from Wudinna, the 19-year-old came through Norwood’s junior pathway before landing at the Power after missing out in the 2025 national draft.
Talls Todd Marshall and Brandon Zerk-Thatcher return to the side, while tough forward Mitch Zadow comes in after withdrawing late last weekend with illness.
Christian Moraes will play his eighth game at AFL level for the season, while Jacob Wehr has been omitted.

It’s the first time Port Adelaide has taken on Fremantle since Round 22 last year, with the Dockers getting up by six points at Adelaide Oval.
Saturday’s game will begin at 12:45pm Adelaide time, and the match will be broadcast live to SA on Channel 7, Fox Footy and Kayo.
