Port Adelaide will accept Darcy Byrne-Jones' one-match ban following an incident during Saturday's game against Sydney.

The incident occurred during the third quarter of the game and was graded by the MRO as careless conduct with medium impact and high contact.

After reviewing similar charges across the league from this season, the club's legal team found no grounds to reduce the grading and has therefore accepted the suspension.

Byrne-Jones will miss Saturday night's game against Melbourne at Adelaide Oval.
