Port Adelaide has named its team for Sunday's 2026 NAB AFLW season opener against Fremantle, with three players set to make their debuts.

Draftees Sophie Eaton and Olivia Crane will make their AFLW debuts at Cockburn ARC Oval, while Emily Elkington is set to play her first game in Port Adelaide colours.

Selected with pick 17 in the 2025 Telstra AFLW Draft, Eaton has earned her opportunity after an impressive pre-season.

The crafty 19-year-old, known for her elite decision-making and football IQ, has been named at half-back after a series of strong performances during the club's pre-season hit-outs.

She will be joined in the backline by fellow debutant Crane, a 181cm key defender selected with pick 30 in last year's national draft.

Crane's composure and ability to read the play, combined with her strong intercept marking and damaging foot skills, have impressed coaches throughout the pre-season, earning her an opportunity at the highest level.

Sunday's clash will also mark a homecoming for the Perth product, who is set to make her AFLW debut in front of family and friends.

Elkington's remarkable week continues after being named on the interchange just days after joining the club as an injury replacement player.

Affectionately known as 'Elky' by her teammates, the 157cm forward made her AFLW debut for West Coast in 2023 after being selected with pick 22 in the 2022 AFLW Draft. She played five games for the Eagles before continuing her development with Carlton in the VFLW.

A fierce competitor with an ability to use the ball effectively, Elkington joins experienced campaigners Molly Brooksby, Shineah Goody, Ella Boag and Maria Moloney on the interchange.

Port Adelaide will face Fremantle at 2:05pm ACST on Sunday, with the match broadcast live on Channel 7, Fox Footy, Kayo and Binge from 2pm ACST.
