Port Adelaide farewells Jackson Mead, Will Lorenz, Mani Liddy, Xavier Walsh, Benny Barrett and Jacob Moss after informing them they will not be offered contracts for 2027.
Mead has played 74 games for the Power after being selected as a father-son pick in the 2019 national draft.
He enjoyed his best year in 2024, playing all 26 games including a preliminary final. The 23-year-old has managed just 10 games at the top level in 2026, as well as eight in the SANFL.
Will Lorenz finishes his third year at Alberton with 11 AFL games under his belt.
The Oakleigh Chargers product moved from the midfield to half-back this season, and produced a strong season for the Magpies, where he was often among the coaches’ best.
Midfielder Mani Liddy departs with nine AFL games to his name, with injury keeping the 24-year-old from making more than four SANFL appearances in 2026.
The 2025 mid-season draftee became known by fans for his leg sleeve after making his debut less than three weeks after being drafted.
Xavier Walsh made the most of his opportunity to move into the forward line this year, slotting 23 goals from 16 SANFL games.
The West Australian was signed in the 2023 rookie draft but was unable to break into the AFL side during his tenure.
Category B rookies Benny Barrett and Jacob Moss were both signed by the club at the end of the 2024 season, spending two seasons at Port Adelaide.
Neither rookie made a debut at AFL level but both were solid contributors to the Magpies program.
“We thank Jackson, Will, Mani, Benny, Jacob and Xavier for their service to Port Adelaide,” list manager Jason Cripps said.
“Jackson was just the second father-son selection at the Power who will always be an important part of our history. Jackson, Will and Mani all worked hard to earn their opportunity to play AFL football during their time at Port Adelaide.
“Xavier, Benny and Jacob developed well within an AFL environment and we are grateful for what they gave to our SANFL side over the past few years.
“It’s always a tough time of year when we have to say goodbye to good people. We wish all six the very best with what’s next.”
