Port Adelaide has welcomed Luke Pedlar to Alberton on the final day of the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period.
In the deal, the Power receives Pedlar and pick 34, and gives Adelaide pick 32 and a 2027 fourth-round selection (tied to Richmond) in the Telstra AFL National Draft.
The 24-year-old was a first-round pick in the 2020 national draft, arriving at the Crows with pick 11.
Hailing from Kingston in the state’s south-east, the South Australian is a hardworking forward/midfielder who can burst from a stoppage and hit the scoreboard.
Pedlar played 10 AFL games in 2026, with the contested ball-winner totalling 49 appearancesat the top level over his career.
His most prolific season thus far came in 2023 when he averaged 11.9 disposals and kicked 25 goals from 21 games.
He becomes just the eighth AFL player to make the crosstown move, with Rory Atkins the most recent male footballer to be listed at both Adelaide clubs.
List manager Jason Cripps was happy to have the trade completed.
“Luke is a talented footballer who is tough at the contest,” Cripps said.
“Although he has had his challenges over the past few seasons with injury, he is someone we feel will fit well within Josh Carr’s game style, and gives us further depth in our forward and midfield stocks.
“As a South Australian, Luke knows how passionate the Port Adelaide fans are and we look forward to seeing him take this opportunity with both hands.”
