CHAD WINGARD had scans today to learn the extent of a hamstring strain suffered late in Port Adelaide’s 33-point win over North Melbourne on Saturday.

The damage is to Wingard’s left hamstring, not the one he injured earlier in the season. Results of the scan will be confirmed tomorrow.

Ruckman Paddy Ryder is nearing a return but will need to complete a full week of training to convince fitness staff he’s completely recovered from the Achilles problem that’s sidelined him for the past five weeks.

Hamish Hartlett has begun his rehabilitation program following successful surgery on Friday to repair the right anterior cruciate ligament he ruptured at training last week.

Injury list

Paddy Ryder – Achilles tendon (assess)

Cameron Hewett – shin (1-3 weeks)

Chad Wingard – hamstring (TBC)

Matthew Broadbent – ankle (TBC)

Willem Drew – foot (TBC)

Hamish Hartlett – knee (season)
