Port Adelaide is proud to announce that Tyrepower has upgraded and extended its partnership with the club until the end of 2020.

The Tyrepower Group was formed in 1977 by ten independent tyre retailers to offer consumers the flexibility, savings and service of an independent dealer network.

The company has since grown to be the largest independent tyre retailer in Australasia and operates in all states and territories, with over 250 stores nationally.

The partnership between Tyrepower and Port Adelaide began in 2014, and will now include the company being the club’s official Coaches Partner.

Port Adelaide Chief Executive Keith Thomas said the club was thrilled to continue the partnership.

“Tyrepower has been a valued Premier Partner and Showdown sponsor and we are pleased to be able to extend that partnership,” Mr Thomas said.

“Port Adelaide is a proud football club with strong values and we think Tyrepower is a perfect partner with values that very much align.”

Tyrepower General Manager Richard Ellery said that he was excited to put pen to paper and extend the existing agreement until the end of the 2020 season.

“Tyrepower is delighted to be able to continue our strong relationship with the Club for another three years as a Premier Partner, Showdown Partner and now Coaches Partner,” he said.

“The extension of our partnership at the best sports game day in the country will be a fantastic platform to showcase Tyrepower as Australia’s biggest independent tyre retailer.

“Our core values and aspirations align closely to those of Port Adelaide - our dealer network are passionate about their local communities and are also giving one local football club the chance to win up to $10,000 in the Tyrepower ‘Dash for Cash’ sprint.

“This is a valued partnership for Tyrepower and our dealer network and I am excited to see the partnership grow.”

The ‘Tyrepower Dash for Cash’ is a half-time sprint time-trial contested at each of Port Adelaide’s home games, giving one individual the chance to win $10,000, divided equally between themselves and their local sporting club or organisation.

Entrants are chosen from local clubs and communities within the Port Adelaide heartland.

As part of the new agreement, the Tyrepower logo will feature on the Port Adelaide coaching staff polo shirts.
