THE Magpies reserves are out of the finals race after going down to West Adelaide by 13 goals on Saturday at Richmond.

Two goalless quarters to start the game, while the Bloods opened a 49-point advantage at half time meant the Magpies would battle to maintain pace with their rivals.

Coxon, Harris, Corcoran and Ross all booted goals for the Magpies in the second half.

Missing 2017 regulars Louis Sharrad, Nathan Rudloff, Robbie Young and Tom Gray due to League duties, the Magpies found themselves in the reserves prelim after falling to Sturt last week.

The Double Blues will now play the Bloods in the reserves grand final on Sunday, as a curtain-raiser to grand final between Port and the winner of today’s League prelim between the Eagles and Sturt.
