ANTHONY Biemans, Sam Gordon, Zac Hawkins and Ben Sawford have all signed onto Port Adelaide’s contracted SANFL player list again in 2015 after successful first stints last year.

They join captain Steven Summerton and returning youngster Luke Reynolds in committing to the club’s League side for the upcoming season, which gets underway on 10 April.

It leaves nine vacancies on the club’s contracted player list.

Many of the club's Academy training group are pressing to earn the favour of selectors for those final positions, however a final decision can be reserved until a week before the club's first League game against South on April 10.

If not selected to play League football, these contracted SANFL players will lead the way in Port Adelaide's Academy team.

After strong building years with the club in 2014, they're keen to advance their form again this season.

"We're excited to stay on," Biemans told portadelaidefc.com.au.

"It's not hard to love the club and love the people around the club, I didn't want to play anywhere else.

"I just want to play well and, hopefully, keep winning."

While Biemans is already a successful player in his own right, having played for Geelong in the VFL and a strong 2013 premiership season with South Barwon, Hawkins and Gordon are keen to keep their development in an elite football environment going.

"It was an easy decision to make, last year was a good one for my footy development, and with that experience I think I can improve and lift my game to another level this year," said Hawkins, a product of Port Adelaide's junior grades and also Port Districts.

Gordon was the Academy's leading goalkicker in 2014 and played three League games.

"Last year we didn't know how things would turn out, but with that year under our belts we can keep moving forward and really do well as a team," Gordon said.
