PORT Adelaide Football Operations Manager Peter Rohde has told the Port Adelaide Football Club website that it is unlikely they will look at Luke Ball at the NAB National Draft.

"He doesn't fit our strategic direction," he declared.

Ball left St. Kilda after playing in the grand final, but a trade to his preferred destination of Collingwood could not be worked out by the time trade week was completed. As such, Ball elected to nominate for the draft.

Port Adelaide seem likely to stick with youth when it comes to chosing who to add to the Club with picks 8, 9, and 16 on Thursday 26 November.

Rohde said, "With three picks in the top 16 selections we're confident that we can add some exciting players to our developing list."
