Footy fans can still get their hands on a digital copy of the AFL Record throughout the shutdown period of the 2020 premiership season.

FOOTY fans may miss the football this winter, but they won't be starved of their beloved AFL Record.

Crocmedia has announced that despite no matches at AFL grounds until at least May 31, a free edition of the AFL Record will be available online each week.

You will be able to find the AFL Record -presented by Karcher - on AFL.com.au and the AFL Live Official App every week.

>> Here are the AFL Record Editor's notes for the week five edition:

  • Fifty years ago this week, VFL Park hosted its first game. ANDREW SLEVISON looks back at three decades of memorable, and not-so-memorable moments, at the League's one-time showpiece.
  • It's 40 years since football journeyman Phil Carman headbutted a boundary umpire and was suspended for 16 games. LAURENCE ROSEN recalls that eventful day at Moorabbin while BEN COLLINS chronicles the controversial career of a footy genius who never quite conformed.
  • Who are the players fans love to love? The Record names the current and past player favourites at every club.
  • Regular features such as the Red Energy Footy Quiz, AFL stats experts answer readers’ questions and ANDREW SLEVISON dissects the great individual performances of round five.
