EVER wondered what happened to the 2004 premiership team?

Most of them stayed in the football industry, with Ashley Browne pondering whether this team was the most footy-savvy in football history.

10 of the team currently coach or assist in the coaching of teams at either AFL, state league or local levels.

Three - Kane Cornes, Dom Cassisi and Shaun Burgoyne - still play at the elite level.

Of those who don't play or coach, five maintain roles within the football industry on the football or administrative and community staffs of clubs.

Warren Tredrea, Darryl Wakelin, Toby Thurstans and Peter Burgoyne are the only three who currently maintain roles away from the game, although the premiership captain is now a football and sports commentator while Thurstans assists the Power with a number of football administrative and gameday duties.

Gavin Wanganeen was recently appointed the AFL Aboriginal Academy ambassador and occasionally assists Power Community Ltd with its Aboriginal programs, but spends most of his time overseeing his two gyms in Modbury and Essendon.
