THREE MORE players have been confirmed in Port Adelaide's SANFL player pool - bringing the club's list of contracted SANFL-only players to six.

Young 2013 debutant Jake Johansen, senior squad member Louis Sharrad and ex-Geelong VFL player Anthony Biemans will form part of the specially selected group of Magpies who qualify to play in both Port Adelaide's SANFL League and Academy teams next year.

Johansen is one of the club's youngest-ever players in the League competition having debuted at the age of 16.

He kicked 14 goals and played 15 games in 2013 and was also named the club's best first year player.

He was the Under-18's best and fairest and most consistent in 2012 and also won the MVP award during the NAB Under-16 National Championships in that year.

He played for the state Under-18s this season.

Louis Sharrad took the field in every round of 2013 at either League (eight games) or Reserves (12) level.

He was the Reserves best and fairest in 2012 and won the reserves coaches' trophy in 2013.

Biemans was the premiership captain and best-on-ground in South Barwon's Geelong Football League premiership team this year and was previously a member of the Geelong VFL and Geelong Falcons clubs.

Senior coach Garry Hocking was pleased to confirm the trio joining the club.

"All three have had very impressive careers in state-level football," Hocking told portadelaidefc.com.au.

"Jake's a really promising young kid and really made a name for himself playing League footy last year.

"He's not too different to Louie [Sharrad] who has won his own fair share of awards for the Maggies and has had a couple of good seasons at League and Reserves level.

"And I've coached Biemans at Geelong and know he had a pretty successful year with South Barwon - he was their premiership captain and best on ground.

"He's also had experience playing in this type of system before with Geelong so he'll know what's in store from the moment he arrives."

portadelaidefc.com.au will confirm several other contracted SANFL pool players in the coming days.
