PORT ADELAIDE will have an AFL debutant for its Round 10 game against the Western Bulldogs with rookie Boyd Woodcock to get his first start.

Woodcock has been among the emergencies for the past three games and will finally get his chance on Monday night at the Adelaide Oval, replacing the injured Brad Ebert.

Selected at pick 76 in the 2018 AFL National draft alongside North Adelaide premiership teammate Connor Rozee, Woodcock was delisted at the end of 2019 before being reclaimed by Port Adelaide as a rookie.

The small but clever forward averaged 17 disposals and booted 22 goals in 21 SANFL games in 2019, and this year has shown he can also play through the midfield.

He will be the second AFL debutant for the club in 2020, after Mitch Georgiades’s first game in Round 1, and the third club debutant, following Sam Mayes’ debut against Carlton.

Defender Trent McKenzie will also come into the Port Adelaide side for the clash with the Bulldogs having overcome a back injury which kept him out of the last two games.

He replaces Jarrod Lienert who has been omitted.

Port Adelaide takes on the Western Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval from 6:40pm ACST on Monday night.
