Brad Ebert will be pushing his case for selection against Geelong after clearing AFL concussion protocols.

PORT ADELAIDE could name an unchanged line-up for Friday night’s game against Geelong, although selectors may be tempted by the availability of a couple of experienced campaigners.

The versatile Brad Ebert is eager to return to the side, having missed the last couple of games with concussion symptoms, and he is not the only one.

Sam Mayes, who managed four straight games before missing the win over Richmond with suspension, will be eager to resume his place in the team and assistant coach Brett Montgomery mentioned he can play a number of roles in the backline, midfield and up forward.

A former Cat in Steven Motlop is also pushing for selection, having overcome an ankle injury which has sidelined him since the Round 7 win over Carlton.

Another versatile option in Justin Westhoff could be considered for a recall, while midfielder Willem Drew and defenders Joel Garner and Riley Bonner have been banging on the door for an opportunity.

First-year player Miles Bergman has been an emergency in recent weeks and is also close to an AFL debut.

Port Adelaide will on Thursday evening name its side to tackle the Cats, with first bounce at Metricon Stadium at 7:20pm ACST on Friday.
