Mark Blicavs was one of seven Cats to poll a vote from the coaches in Round 12.

PORT ADELAIDE players failed to receive any votes from the coaches in the 2020 SHADFORTH FINANCIAL GROUP AFLCA CHAMPION PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD after the club’s disappointing loss to Geelong on Friday night.

The Cats were dominant on the night and in the votes with seven receiving votes on the night.

Tom Hawkins was the pick of the bunch, claiming a perfect 10 votes from the coaches after his six-goal performance.

The big forward had a game-high ten marks and also had three tackles to go with 17 disposals.

He also led the game for score involvements, registering 12 on the night.

Patrick Dangerfield received eight votes from the coaches for his 24 disposals, five marks and four tackles.

The Brownlow medallist also had five clearances and registered a game-high 575 metres gained.

The others to poll votes from the game were Mark Blicavs (four votes), Zach Guthrie and Harry Taylor (three votes each), and Cam Guthrie and Sam Menegola (one vote each).

The loss to Geelong marks the first time this season that no Port Adelaide player received a vote from either coach.

Travis Boak remains in third place in the overall standings behind Lachie Neale and Christian Petracca with several games to come in Round 12 to complete the votes.
