Dan Houston will play against North Melbourne this weekend after being suspended for the previous two games for a breach of the AFL's COVID-19 Protocols.

PORT ADELAIDE defender Dan Houston will play against North Melbourne on Saturday night, the club’s General Manager – Football, Chris Davies has confirmed.

Houston has missed the last two games after being suspended for breaching the AFL’s COVID-19 protocols along with ruckman Peter Ladhams.

Ladhams remains suspended for another game.

At a press conference on Wednesday, Davies said Houston had done everything right since his significant indiscretion.

“Dan will play this week,” the football boss said.

“He’s selected in our team for our weekend’s game.

“They’ve done all that we could have expected of them through the last couple of weeks after making what was a significant mistake and copping their right whack for it.

“I can’t fault either of them for wanting to either front up to their teammates, front up to their coaches or do the right things since then, so as I say Housto will get a game at AFL level this weekend.”

The rest of the Port Adelaide side will be named on Friday evening ahead of the game against the Kangaroos at Metricon Stadium from 7:10pm ACST on Saturday.
