Further to a report on television on Wednesday night suggesting Allan Scott AO, OAM is set to sever ties with the club, the Port Adelaide Football Club confirms that Scott’s Transport remains joint major sponsor of the club and the club is confident its strong and successful partnership with Allan Scott AO, OAM will continue going forward.

Scott’s Transport has a long and proud history with the Port Adelaide Football Club. It began as major sponsor of the club back in its SANFL era in 1992 and is the club’s longest serving sponsor.

Scott’s Transport and Vodafone have been joint major sponsors of the club since its entry into the AFL in 1997. Scott’s Transport’s current contract extends through to the end of the year.

Furthermore, Allan Scott holds the coveted position of Joint Patron of the Port Adelaide Football Club along with former South Australian Governor and personal friend, Sir Eric Neale AC, CVO.

Port Adelaide president Greg Boulton said that club was continuing its discussions with Allan Scott.

“Scott’s Transport is contracted as our major sponsor through to the end of 2007. We are currently engaging in very positive discussions with Allan regarding our partnership going forward,” Boulton said.
