Ollie Wines received a perfect score from the coaches in Port Adelaide's win over Fremantle.

PORT ADELAIDE’s Ollie Wines has closed the gap on the leader of the AFL Coaches Association AFL Champion Player of the Year Award after Sunday’s comfortable win over Fremantle.

Wines received the perfect ten votes from the coaches after his starring performance against the Dockers.

He led the game for disposals, tackles and clearances with 35 disposals, seven tackles and eight clearances and also had 367 metres gained a game-high 14 score involvements.

It was a clean sweep in the voting for Port Adelaide with Charlie Dixon’s three goal, 18 disposal effort seeing him awarded six votes and Karl Amon’s record-breaking game - featuring 16 first-quarter touches – earning him five votes.

Robbie Gray (four votes), Sam Powell-Pepper (three votes) and Trent McKenzie (two votes) also polled.

Wines was among four players to receive full marks along with Isaac Heeney (Sydney), Jack Riewoldt (Richmond) and Touk Miller (Gold Coast).

Wines now sits in sixth position overall, trailing the vote leader Clayton Oliver (Melbourne) by 15 votes.
