Aliir Aliir was awarded his first Showdown Medal in Port Adelaide's Round 21 win.

PORT ADELAIDE defender Aliir Aliir has won his first Showdown Medal as one of the clearest winners in the award’s history.

Aliir claimed a perfect 15 votes from the judges after Saturday night’s Showdown L win over Adelaide.

The defender was vital in repelling the Crows during the low scoring four-point win at Adelaide Oval, taking a game high eleven marks and recording an incredible 16 intercepts.

He also had 21 disposals and a clearance.

The next best vote getter was Crow Harry Schoenberg who claimed four votes after his 31-disposal effort.

The judges were Kane Cornes (SEN), Rhett Biglands (Triple M), Mark Bickley (5AA), Stephen Williams (ABC), and Jason Phelan (NCA Newsire).
