A true all-rounder able to play up forward, in the middle, or down back, Dan Houston has continued his rise as one of Port Adelaide’s most important players.

Houston’s versatility around the field and ability to find the ball in any position saw him collect an average of 23.4 possessions per game in 2023, improving his 2022 averages across the board and rounding out a very consistent year which saw him finish third in Port Adelaide's best and fairest count. Having signed a five-year extension, Houston is set to remain at Alberton until at least the end of 2027 - displaying the club's value in the classy right-footer.

His incredible 2023, recognised with maiden All-Australian selection, will be best remembered for his kick after the siren to win against Essendon - etching his name into the history books and securing a famous win for the club. His year was also rewarded internally with a third podium finish in the club's best and fairest, claiming the Bruce Weber Memorial Trophy.

Part of Port Adelaide's leadership group alongside Sam Powell-Pepper and Willem Drew, Houston supports captain Connor Rozee and vice-captain Zak Butters in leading the side on and off the field.
