Drafted as a forward, developed as a defender and now blossoming as a midfielder, Dan Houston continued his rise from rookie to one of Port Adelaide’s most important players in 2020.
Houston spent a full pre-season in the midfield group at Alberton after flourishing in a move to the middle in 2019. The success of Port’s midfield mix meant he would ultimately spend more time in defence in 2020, but Houston still averaged a respectable 17.2 touches through 17 games and looks poised to step into the engine room when called upon next.
