Joe Atley
Younger brother of North Melbourne's Shaun, Joe is a promising midfielder who came to Alberton via pick 32 in the 2016 AFL Draft. Considered a quality midfielder who can win the inside football and has clean disposal, he finished second in the goal-kicking test at the AFL Draft Combine. TIMELINE 2017 The promising midfielder made his debut in 2017 and played three games in the senior side. Atley’s debut came against the Eagles in Round 16, and the 19-year-old will be looking to have a big pre-season in a bid to play more senior football in 2018. 2018 The strong-bodied midfielder was restricted to just 10 games in 2018 with some injury concerns. When he played, Atley was a ball-magnet in the middle of the ground for the Magpies. Signed a two year contract extension to remain at Alberton in 2018.At A Glance Junior Clubs: Rochester Clubs: Port Adelaide (2016 AFL Draft, Pick 32) Debut: Rd 16, 2017 Recruited From: Bendigo U18 Sponsor: Adelaide Obstetrics
