Midfielder Jack Watkins was selected by Port Adelaide in the 2025 Rookie Draft, earning a senior opportunity after a productive stint at state level in both the VFL and SANFL.
Moving from North Melbourne's VFL side - where he served as captain - to Alberton ahead of the 2025 season, Watkins was a standout in his first year in black-and-white, averaging 27 disposals, 4.6 marks and 4.2 clearances from 18 games. He was recognised with a SANFL team of the year nod and also took home the A.R. McLean Medal as Port Adelaide's best SANFL player at the club's Best & Fairest.
Known as a high possession player with excellent running capacity and high footy IQ, Watkins debuted in Round 1 of the 2026 season and has seamlessly slotted into the senior side.
