Arriving at Port Adelaide after being selected with Pick 55 in the 2021 NAB AFL National Draft, Hugh Jackson grew up supporting Port Adelaide from his home in South Australia’s mid-north.
Known for his smooth left foot, Jackson’s composure has long been a strength in his game.
After performances in the SANFL showed him having plenty of potential, he was rewarded with a debut in Round 11, 2025. He retained his spot in the side against the Giants and went on to play a further eight games at AFL level.
Jackson's contract was not renewed at the conclusion of the 2025 season, bringing his time at Alberton to an end.

The Port Adelaide Football Club acknowledges the land on which we train and play, are based on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. We respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We also acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of Australia and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living people today.
