A crafty small forward with excellent football IQ, Joe Berry was selected with Port Adelaide’s first pick (pick 15) in the 2024 National Draft. Hailing from Benalla in country Victoria, Berry played for the Murray Bushrangers in 2023 where he kicked 27 goals and was selected at half forward in the Team of the Year. The 18-year-old was also awarded All-Australian honours after kicking nine goals from four games for Victoria Country.
Displaying his trademark football nous and scoring knack, Berry made his AFL debut in Round 1 2025 and has since become a mainstay in Port Adelaide's senior side. His speed, clean ball use and hunt for the footy makes him one of the club's most exciting prospects.
Berry will enter his third AFL season with his sights set on a breakout campaign.
