South Australian ruck Alex van Wyk joined Port Adelaide with Pick 14 in the 2026 mid-season draft. A talented tap ruck known for his deft delivery to his midfielders at stoppages, van Wyk averaged 23 hitouts, 8.6 disposals and 2.4 marks in his seven games for North Adelaide in the SANFL before getting the call from the Power. While at North, the bullocking ruck also showed he is capable of playing forward. Prior to joining the Roosters, the 21-year-old won back-to-back best and fairest awards for Norwood’s reserves side and has represented South Australia at under 18 and under 20 levels.
