Defender Teagan Germech joined the ranks at Alberton ahead of the 2024 AFLW season. Noted for her athleticism and versatility, the 23-year-old plays well as a rebound defender and has the ability to pinch hit in the ruck when required. She also has fantastic one-on-one ability, often tasked with marking some of the opposition's strongest key forwards.
A former elite netball player, Germech has valuable AFLW experience, having played seven games for GWS as an injury replacement player last season following a stint as a train-on player with the Swans. It is her time with Port Adelaide, however, that has really seen her shine as a key defender.
After featuring in all of Port Adelaide’s games since arriving at Alberton, Germech has quickly ascended into one of the Power's most important players.

The Port Adelaide Football Club acknowledges the land on which we train and play, are based on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. We respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We also acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of Australia and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living people today.
