Andy Collins joined Port Adelaide as the club’s Director of Coaching ahead of the 2026 season.

Collins boasts an impressive playing, coaching and administrative resume, arriving at Alberton following four seasons as Head of Development at Hawthorn. 

The role sees Collins lead coach development and learning, ensuring coaches are aligned in their approach, while also supporting player education. 

Collins coached both Williamstown and Sandringham to VFL premierships, and spent six years in charge of SANFL team West Adelaide, where he guided the side to a grand final in 2012. 

As a player, he was a triple-premiership defender in the late 1980s and early 1990s at Hawthorn, recording 212 AFL games before his retirement at the conclusion of the 1996 season.
