BIO

Former Sturt assistant coach and professional golfer John Corbett joined Port Adelaide's coaching staff ahead of the 2026 season.

With a background as an elite junior cricketer and footballer, Corbett turned his focus to golf from age 18, where he enjoyed a professional playing and coaching career spanning more than two decades.

He eventually moved into football at SANFL club Sturt – first as reserves assistant coach before an elevation to assistant for the league side – where he was part of the club's incredible winning streak, which culminated in a SANFL premiership in 2025.

Corbett spent time at North Melbourne during 2024 in skill acquisition and is currently studying a Professional Doctorate in Skill Acquisition to complement his Masters in High Performance and Skill Acquisition.
