Are you eligible?

Whether you’re completing Year 12 or have been out of school for a while, there are a variety of pathways for the Diploma in Sports Management.

You have recent secondary education

If you’ve finished Year 12 (and do not have more than 2 years of higher education study), or are currently studying Year 12 and complete the SACE/IB (or interstate equivalent) you are eligible to compete for uni entry via your Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).

You could also be eligible for guaranteed entry, and adjustment factors to boost your ATAR.

The University will also consider applicants who have SACE completion.

School Recommendation Program

We may consider your school’s recommendation about your academic performance as part of your admission into Flinders.

Elite athlete pathway

Our dedicated Elite Athletes Admissions Scheme provides a pathway to university study for elite sportspeople. If you've officially represented your school or state at a national level competition, we'll consider your school's recommendation about your academic potential when you apply.

Research Project B pathway

If you have strong results in the Research Project B subject you will be considered for entry into Flinders on the basis of your Year 12 results and Research Project B performance.

You have completed some higher education

If you have completed the equivalent of at least one semester (full-time) but no more than the equivalent of two years (full-time) of a higher education course you may be considered for entry to most courses on the basis of your higher education result.

You have completed vocational education and training (VET)

If you have TAFE/VET qualifications (Cert III or higher) you are eligible to apply.

You have work and life experience

If you have completed a University Foundation Studies program or sat the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) you can use these as a pathway to this program.

Foundation Studies – fast track five week intensive.

Indigenous Admissions Scheme

Flinders recognises that many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have not had the opportunity to gain entry to university by traditional means. The Indigenous Admissions Scheme (IAS) was developed to address this.

The IAS provides the opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply for entry into the Diploma.

You can request consideration for entry via this pathway when you apply.
