Zak Butters was charged for striking twice against the Blues.

PORT ADELAIDE forward Zak Butters has been cited twice by the Match Review Officer following seperate striking incidents against Carlton at Adelaide Oval on Saturday evening.

However, Butters can accept a financial sanction for each charge with an early plea and remains available for selection to face the Bulldogs in the Power's final game of the minor rounds.

Butters was first charged with striking Blues defender Nic Newman during the first quarter of the Round 22 clash.

That incident was assessed as careless contact, low impact, body contact and classified as a $3000 sanction as a first offence.

The second charge was handed down for striking Carlton defender Adam Saad during the final quarter of the same game.

That incident was assessed as careless contact, low impact, high contact and classified as a $3000 sanction as a first offence.

Butters can accept a $2000 sanction for each charge with an early guilty plea.
