Port Adelaide has claimed key position player Dante Visentini with the 56th pick at the 2021 NAB AFL National Draft.

Visentini’s selection came one pick after the club picked up North Adelaide midfielder Hugh Jackson.

Athletic and able to play in the ruck or up forward, Visentini showed aggression and a desire to impact on a contest throughout 2021.

Visentini joins fellow Sandringham Dragons product Josh Sinn (Pick 12), as well as North Adelaide's Hugh Jackson (Pick 55) and father-son selection Jase Burgoyne (Pick 60) in landing at Alberton in the 2021 draft.

AFL Talent Ambassador Kevin Sheehan says:

Imposing athletic tall forward whose overhead marking is his competitive advantage, along with his height. Presents well as a target and provides that vital contest which brings the ball to ground if he doesn’t mark, providing his team with opportunities. Very useful option also in the ruck, a role he played this year for both Victoria Metro at under-19s level (11 disposals and 10 hitouts) as well as for the Sandringham Dragons in six matches, averaging 10.3 disposals, 2.8 marks and 8.5 hitouts
