PORT ADELAIDE supporters have again shown their generosity after Foodbank’s latest food drive at the Power’s latest home game.

Foodbank volunteers collected 580 kilograms of food items and $1,045 in cash donations before the Power’s clash with Greater Western Sydney last Saturday night.

Foodbank placed purple donation bins around Adelaide Oval and had volunteers at each of the gates.

The donations filled the organisation’s new Mobile Food Hub and was equal to 3,200 meals on the table for those most vulnerable in South Australia.

Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief and food rescue organisation. It’s most recent 2018 Hunger Report revealed that a staggering 117,260 South Australians are accessing food relief every month – 27 per-cent of them children.

Last year, the organisation provided over five million meals to South Australians.

It was the second time in 2019 that Foodbank collected donations at a Port Adelaide game.

In Round 4 against Richmond, supporters donated 880 kilograms of food and $2,672 in cash.

The Port Adelaide Football Club thanks its members and supporters for their generosity.

If you contributed, know that your donations will make a big difference.
