CHARLIE DIXON will make his return to competitive football as one of three inclusions for Port Adelaide’s SANFL game against Woodville-West Torrens on Saturday.

Dixon has not played this season after requiring two lots of surgery since suffering an ankle injury at training in January.

He has been named to face the Eagles at Alberton alongside Miller Carter and Ethan Moore.

Speedy forward Anthony Wilson will unfortunately miss the game after coming under health and safety protocols this week, while Xavier Duursma, Ollie Lord, Jed McEntee and Lachie Jones have been named among the AFL emergencies for the Friday night game against the Western Bulldogs but could feature for the Magpies the following day if not required.

Each performed strongly in the win over the previously unbeaten Glenelg at the Bay last weekend.

Saturday’s game against the Eagles gets underway at Alberton at 2:10pm. It is part of the SANFL’s Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation’s Community Round, which will help raise awareness about the need for vital mental health research.

Port Adelaide will also use the occasions to raise money for the foundation through the sale of special beanies at food and beverage outlets at Alberton Oval for $20 each, while players and umpires will wear purple and blue arm bands during the match.
