The AFL has unveiled the 2027 fixture with Port Adelaide to host a series of blockbuster clashes against traditional Victorian clubs.
Collingwood, Carlton, Hawthorn and Essendon will all visit Adelaide Oval next season, as will reigning premiers Brisbane.
The Power will open its home season in Round 2 under lights on Saturday 27 March against Melbourne and two weeks later, will take on the Western Bulldogs to close out Gather Round on a Sunday night.
Port Adelaide will host a Friday night Showdown in Round 8 wearing the club's black-and-white Prison bar guernsey and will continue its strong ties with the Australian Defence Force by hosting an Anzac Round game against the Blues on April 24, marking the 23rd consecutive year of this significant fixture at Adelaide Oval.
The league will celebrate Sir Doug Nicholls Round across Rounds 9 and 10, with Port Adelaide hosting a daytime game in Round 10 against Brisbane on Saturday, May 22.
The club will travel to Perth, Hobart, Gold Coast, Canberra and Geelong, as well as having five away trips to Melbourne.
It will take on six clubs twice – Adelaide, Hawthorn, Melbourne, West Coast, Gold Coast and Carlton.
The AFL has confirmed the schedule for the first 16 rounds, with days and times to be confirmed later in the year for Round 17 and beyond.
Port Adelaide CEO Matthew Richardson was looking forward to what 2027 will bring.
“This fixture represents an exciting start to the season for our members and fans with a host of games in their favoured timeslots, including Melbourne on a Saturday night in Round 2, Carlton on Anzac Day eve in Round 6, a Friday night Showdown in Round 8 and Collingwood on a Saturday night in Round 11,” Mr Richardson said.
“We are privileged to host a game on Anzac Day eve as we continue our support of the Australian Defence Force and our partnerships with the RSL and defence in South Australia.
“The 2027 AFL fixture provides fantastic access for our members and fans, as well as exceptional exposure for our commercial partners. We look forward to welcoming some clubs with large, passionate supporter bases to Adelaide Oval.
“A handful of daytime fixtures at Adelaide Oval also give families with young children the opportunity to come along and support us.
“We’re very much looking forward to 2027 and can’t wait to see a packed Adelaide Oval as we welcome our members and fans back for a season filled with great promise.”
