THE 2022 NAB AFLW Draft is now complete, with Port Adelaide welcoming a number of new faces to its inaugural squad.

Hannah Ewings was secured as Port Adelaide's first pick (third overall).

Following a stellar 2022 SANFLW season, the ever-consistent Ewings polled fourth in the league’s best and fairest count and is considered one of the most complete players to nominate for this year’s Draft.

The midfielder was bestowed All-Australian honours following this year’s under-18 national championships, boasting excellent natural on-field ability, elite kicking skills and a solid football IQ.

Port Adelaide's second pick went to Sarah Goodwin (seventh overall), an attacking defender with the ability to also make an impact through the middle.

Goodwin was named in the All-Australian team following South Australia’s undefeated run at the under-18 national championships and in The Advertiser’s SANFLW team of the year.

Midfielder Sachi Syme was selected with pick 23.

The Norwood midfielder plays a tough brand of footy, demonstrating ferocity on the field, good disposal efficiency and the ability to cover ground well.

Syme broke the SANFLW record for most clearances in a match with 12 in round seven this year and was selected for the All-Australian squad following the under-18 national championships.

Glenelg’s Ella Boag was selected as Port Adelaide's fourth pick (31 overall).

A speedy winger, Boag has shown rapid improvement since being elevated to league level in early 2022.

She has demonstrated promising on-field traits, with her round 12 performance against North Adelaide earning her a SANFLW Breakthrough Player nomination.

With its fifth pick Port Adelaide selected Yasmin Duursma (45 overall).

Duursma had a breakout performance at the under-18 national championships for Victoria Country, culminating in the final match where she collected 22 disposals, five marks, four tackles and six rebound 50s, with 85 per cent kicking efficiency.

Sister of Port Adelaide midfielder Xavier, Duursma has built her football profile on her own terms as a player who can read the play and use the footy well.

Going at pick 61 was Amelie Borg, a consistent defender with a strong on-field presence.

Borg is a defender who was a standout at the under-18 national championships this year, landing herself a spot in the All-Australian side.

Completing Port Adelaide's AFL squad was Lily Johnson, who was selected at pick 80.

Johnson is a native Tasmanian who made the move to South Australia to pursue football at league level and ultimately, on the national stage.

The West Adelaide product made her senior debut earlier this year and has shown she can be smart up forward and through the centre of the ground.
