PORT ADELAIDE has re-claimed forward Dylan Williams in the National Rookie Draft as promised, continuing the 21-year-old’s time at the club into a fourth season.
Williams was delisted at the end of the 2022 season with a promise that he would be relisted as a rookie.
The clever forward showed his versatility in the SANFL in 2022, shifting into the backline part way through the season and fitting in well but still winning the club’s leading goal kicker award with 20 goals.
Williams was also the club’s leading SANFL goal kicker in 2021 when he booted 31 goals, including a six-goal haul against Sturt in Round 11.
That performance saw him earn an AFL debut in the Round 15 win over Sydney but he has not featured at that level since.
Williams joins defenders Tom McCallum and Kyle Marshall and forward Tom Scully as new faces at Alberton following this week’s National and Rookie drafts.
